The Show Message Action allows the strategy to output information. The information consists of message text in which variables can be included. When the message is displayed, these variables are replaced with the actual market values.

The text can be sent to one of the following destinations:

• As a dialog box: the text will be displayed in a small timed window.
• In the Automation Log: the text will be displayed as a row in the Automation Log.
• In a text file: specify a path to a text file and the text will be appended to the end of that file. Make sure that a valid path is specified and that the file has the .txt extension. In this mode, you can also prepend each line with the date and time when the information was generated by selecting the With Date/Time option.
• In the Strategy Output window.
• In the Market Notes: Market Notes can be displayed in the dedicated column of the Markets Monitor.
