Odds indication

In Betting Toolkit Automation, there are several ways to specify odds within Actions and Conditions.

In addition to specifying exact odds, you can refer to certain market odds, formulas, Default Values, or Stored Values, as follows:

  • Fixed Odds: specify the exact odds at which the bet will be placed.
  • Best Available Back Odds
  • Best Available Lay Odds
  • Last Traded Odds
  • Maximum Traded Odds
  • Minimum Traded Odds
  • Most Traded Odds
  • Previous Bet Reference
With this option, you can choose from the following additional criteria:
    - First Placed
    - Most Recently Placed
    - Minimum Odds
    - Maximum Odds
    - Most Recently Matched
You can also specify which side of the order book to consider and the matching status of the bets to be referenced.
  • Average Back Bet Odds: the average odds at which Back bets have been matched. In practice, this represents our average entry price on the Back side.
  • Average Lay Bet Odds: the average odds at which Lay bets have been matched. In practice, this represents our average entry price on the Lay side.
  • Preset Value: specify one of the Odds-type Default Values defined in the strategy.
  • Odds Calculated from a Formula: for the variables that can be used in the formula, refer to the page dedicated to the Formula Condition.
There are two variants for this type of option:
    - the formula can be evaluated on the market to which the strategy is applied by using Formula (This Market).
    - when a Place Bet Action is executed on another market, the formula can be evaluated on that market by using Formula (Target Market).
This makes it possible, for example, to place a bet on another market—the market on which the Action is executed—while determining the odds using a formula based on data from the market to which the strategy is applied.
When the Place Bet Action is executed on This Market, the two options described above are equivalent.
  • Odds-Type Stored Value: specify the name of the Stored Value and where it is stored (Selection, Market, Strategy, Application). Only Stored Values of the Odds type will be considered.

Offset
If Fixed Odds are not specified, you can apply an offset to the starting odds. This offset can be expressed in ticks, as an odds value, or as a percentage of the odds.
A tick is the step between one odds value and the next on the odds Ladder.
When specifying a tick offset, positive values move toward higher odds, while negative values move toward lower odds. For example, odds of 3.25 plus one tick result in odds of 3.30.

Exclude My Bets When Evaluating Odds
This option allows your own bets to be excluded when referring to the Best Available Back Odds or Best Available Lay Odds to determine the bet odds. When this option is enabled, the calculation is performed as if your own bets were not present in the market.
